Job description:
As a Hardware/Software Engineer you are responsible for designing, developing and implementing complex hardware and software solutions. You work closely with a multidisciplinary team of engineers to define technical specifications, analyze systems and find the best technical solutions. You take the lead in the design process and ensure the quality and reliability of the end products. You have a broad knowledge of both hardware and software development and are able to switch between both domains.
Responsibilities:
Designing and developing complex hardware and software solutions.
Defining technical specifications and requirements in collaboration with the team. Analyzing systems and identifying technical challenges.
Leading the design process and ensuring that the products meet the stated requirements.
Collaborate with other engineers and stakeholders to find the best technical solutions.
Testing, debugging and optimizing hardware and software components.
Document design decisions, technical specifications and test results.
Collaborate with other teams, including software development, electronics and manufacturing, to ensure seamless integration and delivery.
Contribute to continuous improvement of development processes and methodologies.
Qualifications:
- A completed technical education at HBO+ or university level, in the field of Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in the development of hardware and software solutions.
- Extensive knowledge of embedded systems, digital and analog (RF) electronics and PCB design.
- Experience with programming languages such as C/C++.
- In-depth understanding of software development, including knowledge of software architecture, algorithm design and operating systems.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to tackle technical challenges effectively.
- Experience working in multidisciplinary teams and leading technical projects.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
